But I have a hard time with a few things maybe you can help me out if you want to. Faceshift works with kinect, the plugin is connecting with faceshift. I also tried to do the same as you did but I am stuck. I am really excited about the possibilities of Faceshift with kinect and Cinema 4d. But you aren't getting reference, you are the reference for the animation. It is like when doing photoreal rendering, you capture image reference of the material you're replicating, you do the same for animation. But honestly, this is the easiest and most natural way to animate a face. You can download a (I think?) fully featured 30-Day trial of Faceshift, if you already have a Kinect, all it would take is setting up the driver. There are no controllers really, it is just mixing all the different poses in real time when you record a "clip" to generate what it needs to. When you import into Cinema, it has each of those 20 different models all plugged into a Pose Morph tag on the main object, in addition to a neck joint to move the whole head and a joint for each eye. It generates a mesh for each face and combines them into a neutral pose.

In Faceshift, when you generate the model of your head, you act out about 20 different facial poses (jaw up, smile, mouth open, etc). I'm not familiar with how the interaction tag works, is it an easier way to manipulate a character rig? If so, it wouldn't really apply to a Faceshift rig.
